In the spring of 2022, with the effects of the pandemic beginning to wane, a nascent optimism began to seep into my consciousness. The negative consequences of our actions that lead to the global Covid-19 crisis were obvious and manifold but what effects would a period of almost species-wide consensus have on our values, culture and vision of our futures? Had our chance encounter with global solidarity changed what we wanted for ourselves? Had the tide turned such that we now realized how precious our world is? Would we now be prepared to do the work needed to ensure not just our survival, but our evolution?

It is only in the fullness of time that these questions will be answered. We simply have to wait to learn how we have changed. Liminal is my expression of this anticipation and a small way to pass the time.
